How the library works

There are three connected sites:

You log in with the same username and password on all three. Start at the catalog to pick what you want, then use the other two to get the files or stream.

Ebooks on Android / iPhone

Recommended app: Libby (or any OPDS reader)

The easiest way is to use any app that supports OPDS catalog feeds. Good choices:

Add the OPDS feed

In your app's settings, add a catalog / OPDS source:

https://ebooks.storsveden.eu/opds

When prompted, enter your library username and password. You can then browse and download directly inside the app.

Alternatively, log in at ebooks.storsveden.eu in your mobile browser and download EPUB files — your phone will ask which reading app to open them in.

Ebooks on Kindle

Most books in the library are available in KFX (Kindle Format X) — the native modern Kindle format. Just download KFX from ebooks.storsveden.eu and transfer it to your Kindle. No conversion needed.

If a book only has EPUB, use the Convert button on its page in ebooks.storsveden.eu to convert it to MOBI before downloading — or use Send-to-Kindle email (Amazon converts EPUB automatically).

Option 1: Transfer via USB (simplest)

  1. Download the KFX (or AZW3/MOBI) file from ebooks.storsveden.eu
  2. Connect Kindle via USB — it appears as a USB drive
  3. Copy the file into the documents folder
  4. Eject and the book appears

Option 2: Send to Kindle via email

  1. Find your Kindle's email address in Amazon Settings → Manage Your Content and Devices → Preferences → Personal Document Settings
  2. Download KFX or EPUB from ebooks.storsveden.eu
  3. Email the file to your Kindle address — it appears in your library within minutes (Amazon converts EPUB automatically)

Ebooks on Kobo / other e-readers

Kobo and most modern e-readers support EPUB natively. Some also support OPDS directly.

Kobo with OPDS (easiest)

  1. Go to Settings → Beta Features → Firefox (built-in browser)
  2. Or use Kobo's built-in catalog: add https://ebooks.storsveden.eu/opds

Via USB (works everywhere)

  1. Download EPUB from ebooks.storsveden.eu
  2. Connect e-reader via USB and copy file to the documents/books folder

Ebooks on Windows / Linux / Mac

Download from ebooks.storsveden.eu and open with:

You can also add ebooks.storsveden.eu/opds as an OPDS catalog in Calibre to browse and download directly.

Audiobooks on Android / iPhone

Recommended: Audiobookshelf app

There is an official app for the streaming server:

Connect to the server

  1. Open the app and tap Connect to server
  2. Enter the server URL:

  1. Log in with your library username and password
  2. Your selected audiobooks appear in your library — stream online or download for offline listening

The app remembers your position and syncs it across devices if you use the same account.

Alternative: stream in browser

Visit books.storsveden.eu in any browser and log in — you can stream directly without installing anything.

Audiobooks on PC

The simplest option is to stream via browser at books.storsveden.eu.

For offline listening, you can download MP3/M4B files from the web interface and play them in any media player:

How to select your books

You can have up to 5 ebooks and 5 audiobooks active at a time. This keeps the server tidy — once you finish a book, deselect it to make room for the next one.

  1. Log in at catalog.storsveden.eu
  2. Browse or search for a book / audiobook
  3. Click a cover to select it (it turns green with a checkmark)
  4. Your selection saves automatically
  5. When you want a new one: click the green checkmark to deselect first

Downloads and streams work for your selected items only. If you try to access something you haven't selected, you'll be prompted to add it to your list first.
